Biography Brielle Hohne earned her B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University in 2017. She has previously worked as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Matthew DeLisa’s lab at Cornell and as the biocatalysis intern at Zymtronix. Additionally, she has worked in Dr. Wayne Curtis’s lab at Penn State developing temporary immersion bioreactors for plant propagation. In 2018, she was awarded the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. Currently, Brielle is pursuing her PhD in chemical engineering at UT Austin. The goal of her research is to determine transport rates through membrane transport proteins involved in drug resistance using lipid vesicle systems. Ultimately, she hopes to develop this technology into a drug screening assay. She is co-advised by Drs. Manish Kumar and Keith Keitz
