Biography
​Chao Lang received his doctor's degree in polymer chemistry and physics from Jilin University in June 2016. His Ph.D work mainly focused on construction of artificial transmembrane transporting systems. During his doctoral studies, he has established several synthetic channel and transporter systems, including the first helical polymer based biomimetic ion channel. Except for providing attractive model for studying natural channels, his work may also lead to potential technological applications in areas such as medical treatment, separation and sensing. His postdoc thesis is the synthetic channel-based functional polymer membranes.
