Biography
​Ratul Chowdhury graduated with a Bachelors of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2013. His undergraduate research experience includes internships at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the National University of Singapore where he studied the immune responses of DEC-205 receptor proteins of dendritic cells against rabies and used immunofluorescence microscopy to study the assembly of focal adhesion proteins in MDA-231 breast cancer cell lines, respectively. His current work involves computational redesign of stable bacterial channel proteins OmpF to manipulate its transport properties. He is co-advised by Dr. Manish Kumar and Dr. Costas D. Maranas.​
