Biography
​Jiaheng Yu graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from 
Pennsylvania State University in 2015. After he graduated, he joined Dr. Kumar’s lab as a 
research assistant and works with Patrick and Yuexiao, graduate students in the group, focusing 
on the projects of Aquaporin-0 membrane protein purification and water desalination using 
biomimetic membranes. Driven by the passion for research, Jiaheng is going to pursue a PhD 
degree in chemical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Fall 2016. Meanwhile, to 
advance his career in the future research, he is also a current student of the Applied Statistics 
program at Penn State.
